It's Advent!

What is Advent?

"Advent" means "Coming"

It's the time we celebrate Christ coming in "History, Mystery, and Majesty"

We celebrate Christ coming to us in history as a baby, the Word of God taking on human flesh.

We celebrate the ways in which Christ comes to us NOW in mystery.

We long for the day Christ comes to us again in majesty.

We light a new candle on the Advent wreath each week.  And that light is our tiny little protest of hope against the darkness.  That light is a witness that the busy hustle does not run our lives.  It is a sign of our vigil.  It is a sign of our waiting.  O Come, O Come, Emmanuel!
